In 2014, the Architectural Association of Kenya awarded AIA an excellence in architecture award, for the Best Cultural Building – Manda Airport project in Lamu.

In 2006, AIA received an Excellence in Architecture Bronze award from the Architectural Association of Kenya in Residential Design Category.
